HR change is moving faster than ever right now, so we decided that it is time to have a Midsummer HR Roundtable. So that we can all slow down, and catch up!
This will allow us to see what everyone is working on, experiencing, and looking forward to later this year in the realm of HR, and its operations Trending Terms for Fall 2024 Attrition: Refers to intentionally reducing workforce size by not replacing employees who leave voluntarily [6].
Benefits: Non-wage compensations offered to employees by the employer in addition to their salary or wage [6].
Compensation: The comprehensive set of financial and non-financial rewards that an organization offers to its employees in return for their services [6].
Learning Management System (LMS): A software platform that streamlines employee training, allowing managers to manage employee training goals, track progress, and analyze performance data [6].
Diversity & Inclusion: Policies, practices, and procedures that a company implements to ensure that people of different backgrounds and characteristics are fully represented, respected, and valued [6].
Broadbanding: Combines several similar job categories into the same pay band. This gives organizations a wider range of payment options and creates space for lateral moves and horizontal career growth [7].
Compa ratio: A metric that compares an individual’s or group’s salary to the midpoint of a defined salary range [7].
Compassionate leave: A type of absence granted by the employer to give employees the time they need to deal with a personal or family emergency [7].
Discretionary benefits: Benefits that employers choose to offer their employees, although they are not legally required to do so [7].
Leader and Manager Development: Focuses on the growth and development of individuals in leadership and managerial roles [9].
Organizational Culture: The values, behaviors, and shared vision that contribute to the environment of an organization [9].
HR Technology: The use of technology and software solutions to help automate and streamline HR processes [9].
Change Management: The process of managing change and transitions within an organization [9].
Career Management and Internal Mobility: The process of planning and managing career development within an organization [9].
