2024 Broderick Daniels

Tammy Barthel

Broderick Daniels is the 2024 Arkansas SHRM Human Resource Professional of the Year.

Our HR Professional of the Year embodies what a successful HR professional should be - extremely knowledgeable in our field, stays ahead and abreast of important issues, mentors and encourages others, leads by example….and most of all, has an uncanny ability to make everyone he works with better – even if it is correcting them or helping them along the way.

Broderick recipient has worked tirelessly for all Arkansas HR professionals testifying (multiple times) on the floors of the Arkansas Capitol. Has studied legislation, had lengthy – and sometime painful – conversations with Arkansas lawmakers and has submitted suggestions to legislation that have helped correct and improve the political landscape as it relates to Human Resources.

He has mentored many up-and-coming Arkansas HR professionals and has given his time and energy to many student HR groups. He has personally taken young professionals under his wing and immersed them in our associations.

Broderick has also served Arkansas SHRM and our Chapters. He has served in numerous roles within his chapter including as President, has served on countless conference committees and is serving as the 2024 Arkansas HR Conference and Expo Chairperson.

He is also active with the Black Human Resources Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., and the Arkansas Gospel Mass Choir.

Whether it is behind his desk, at a SHRM meeting, running around in a state conference t-shirt or just “doing what he can for the people” a statement he jokingly uses – but seriously does, he is someone we cannot do without. He brings commitment, professionalism, humor, integrity and a consistent dose of resolve to all he does.
